Site details


Site description: Located in the north-eastern part of Luzhai County, including Mulong and Daping villages. The topography in the IBA is mainly low and intermediate-height mountains.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: Important plants include Liriodendron chinense. Animals include Manis pentadactyla, Viverra zibetha, Viverricula indica, Cervus unicolor and Moschus berezovskii.
