Site details
Site description: This area is a big forest block in Mahakam Atas, and important because it has undisturbed lowland forest. Village along of Mahakam River, occupied by Kenyah and Bahau people (Dayak ethnic), with very strict traditional cultures.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: There is no information about bird from this site. The site is near from the northern most area of White-shouldered Ibis Pseudibis davisoni (Sozer & van Der Heijden 1997)
