Site details


Site description: The area is located in the mountainous part of the Perm region and consists of two forested mountain ridges with tundra-like boreal montane habitat on the ridge tops.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Incomplete data on species and abundances, more research is needed.
Delineation rationale: 2009-08-04: IBA area changed from 130,000 ha to 152,810 ha (by BL Secretariat, following RBCU spreadsheet of changes that need making). 2014-08-12 (BL Secretariat): centroid coords adjusted to 60°17'48'N 58°30'2'E and site area changed to (or confirmed as) 152810 ha (rounded), on basis of refined polygon downloaded from Spatial Database on Important Bird Areas of Russia 2014 (© Russian Bird Conservation Union, © Transparent World).
