Site description: A stretch of the Psel river valley, near the River Dnepr, and dominated by grassland/meadow habitats with lakes and marshes.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Aythya nyroca (uncommon on passage), Haliaetus albicilla (1-2 pairs breed, 2-3 birds winter), Falco naumanni (min. 1 pair breeds).
