Threats

Summary of threats to biodiversity at KBA: The main threats are urbanization, afforestation with Populus, the abandonment of grazing and the conversion of meadows into arable fields. Conservation efforts for Crex crex stand to benefit from a new agri-environmental scheme in the area, which should encourage farmers to maintain wet meadows.
