Site description: The KBA Manglares de San Pedro - Vice - Chulliyache covers an area of 72.179 sq km and it's located in Peru, department of Piura, province of Sechura and districts of Sechura y Vice. The altitudinal range of this KBA is from sea level to 11 masl. The KBA Manglares de San Pedro - Vice - Chulliyache includes the following climate type: Arid with humidity deficiency in all seasons of the year, warm. The temperature in this KBA ranges from 13°C to 33°C while annual precipitation varies between 20 mm to 50 mm, approximately. This KBA has "Desierto costero (Coastal desert)", "Humedal costero (Coastal wetland)", "Manglar (Mangrove)" and "Bosque estacionalmente seco de llanura (Seasonally dry lowland forest)" ecosystems.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: The KBA Manglares de San Pedro - Vice - Chulliyache qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for A1 and B1 criteria described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs. This KBA harbors the Endangered and range restricted bird Sternula lorata.

Delineation rationale: The KBA Manglares de San Pedro - Vice follows the same boundaries of the original KBA. To the west it follows the Peruvian national marine-coastal boundary. To the southeast it follows the Pan-American Highway (1N) from the town of Mata Caballo to the P1-100/Chulliyachi road. To the northeast it extends to San Pedro Beach.
