Site description: A shallow lake (up to 17 m deep) surrounded by mixed forest, Alnus forest and agricultural land. It is normally ice-covered in winter.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that was identified using previously established criteria and thresholds for the identification of Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (IBAs) and for which available data indicate that it does not meet global KBA criteria and thresholds set out in the Global Standard.

Summary of threats to biodiversity at KBA: Disturbance to birds occurs, especially in early spring when areas of open water are small and the local people push boats over the ice to these areas and set fishing nets.
