Site description: Two shallow lakes, the water-levels of which are managed to provide suitable habitat for waterbirds. Fishing takes place on the lakes and the surrounds are used for grazing and arable farming.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
