Site details
Site description: A small, rocky island, 14 km south-west of Reykjanes in south-west Iceland.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
Additional biodiversity: Other common breeding seabirds are Rissa tridactyla (3,000 pairs), Uria aalge (2,700 pairs) and Uria lomvia (510 pairs).
